Abstract/Summary: This document is an employment planning guide to help employers prepare to employ people with disabilities. It was jointly developed by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Workforce Preparation. The guide includes sections on finding qualified workers with disabilities, cultivating the next generation of qualified workers, learning from other businesses, putting research into practice in the workplace, business tax credits and reduced labor costs, and reasonable accommodations and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It also has a 6 page annotated webliography of general and federal resources.
